There are 13 ranks (high to low – Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 5, 6, 4, 3, 2) in 4 suits (Clubs ♣, Diamonds ♦, Spades ♠, Hearts ♥) in a typical deck of 52 cards. All matches are equal in value that means Ace of all ♣ is equal to Ace of all ♥ diamonds.

The hand ranking makes it possible to know which hand is more advanced than others. It’s used to ascertain the ideal hands (the combination of 5 cards) in the showdown.
Poker Hand Ranking (highest to lowest)
- First is the biggest flush
five highest in the numerical value cards of the same suit in a sequence.
- Second is the straight flush.
five cards of the same suit in order of numerical value.
- The third is the four of a kind.
The fifth card will be of any value but the four other has to be of equal rank.
- Fourth is the full house
The two of the five can be any other value but the three of them have to be of the same rank.

- Seventh is three of a kind
2 cards are unrelated and three of the other is of the same rank.
- Eight is two pair
One is unrelated and two different pairs of cards.
- Ninth is the pair
Three unrelated and two cards of the same rank.
- Last is the high card
When comparing two such types of hands, the hand with a best-possible high card wins
Rounds of Betting
Opening deal – Every player is dealt two cards face down, which is referred to as hole cards or pocket cards.
- First round of betting – beginning with the player to the left of the large blind, and each player may call the large blind, raise, or fold. Even the huge blind has the option to raise an otherwise unraised pot.
- The flop – The dealer burns a card and deals three community cards face up. The starting cards are said to be a flop, so while the entire city cards are jointly called the board.
- 2nd round of betting – Start with the player to the left of the dealer button, so each player May Bet or Check
- The turn – off the dealer burns another card and adds a fourth card face-up to the community cards. This fourth card is popularly referred to as the turn card or Fourth Street.
- Third round generally the same as the format as the 2nd round, but the size of the bets have usually lower in limit matches.
- The lake –the person who is playing the role of the dealer burns one more card and then adds the fifth card as well as the final cards which will be then part of the community cards. This fifth card is popularly referred to as the river card or even Fifth Street.
- Final round of gambling – It follows the same format as the third and second rounds.
- The showdown – With the best possible five-card combination of these hole cards and the community cards, the players show their hands, with the bettor or last raiser showing first. The finest five-card hand wins the pot. (When there occurs a tie, the value which is played is both divided into the winners)
